Registered Nurse

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting a Registered Nurse (RN) to help care for our patients in our Parkview Geriatric Wellness is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care emergency services ambulatory care pharmacies walk-in clinics surgeries addiction recovery therapies and more CMH has its community covered!

About the Department:The nursing team at Citizens Memorial Hospital Parkview Geriatric Wellness Unit strive to SERVE in the care we provide to patients families and each nursing member brings their strengths to the team and works together to provide exceptional compassion and care to the community we strive to make a difference each day and promote a positive team-driven attitude.

A typical day includes:Parkview Geriatric Wellness (PVGW) is a geriatric behavioral unit licensed for 20 bed currently serving the community with 15 beds. Our patient population is 50 years of age and older. We are located inside the main hospital and work closely with the other departments in the hospital. Parkview Wellness see a wide range of mental health patients including dementia bipolar schizophrenia personality disorders and depression. Parkview is a short term placement most patientslength of stay is 7 are focused on safety in the Wellness unit our nurse to patient ratio is 1:8 with one core tech on both sides of the unit and a float teach who helps both sides of the unit.

• Assessing the mental and physical status of the patient.
• Interacting with the patients throughout the shiftparticipatingand encouraging patients to interact in group activities.
• Assisting with admissions discharges referrals medication administration completing specialized psychological testing on the patients and a running daily behavior note that is placed in the chart every shift.

This position is Part-time Nights7p-7a

Job Requirements:

• Education:Associates degree or Bachelors degree
• Skills: Analytical problem-solving communication empathy
• Experience: Patient care
• License: RN
• Physical: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and stand for long periods
