Job Summary
CHC is a non-profit social service agency in the Akron area whose mission is to treat inspire support and empower individuals and families impacted by the disease of addiction. CHC has been a critical part of Ohios efforts to treat and prevent substance use disorders since 1974.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our primary care team in Akron OH. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care support patient health and wellness and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in a primary care setting.
- Conduct patient assessments record medical histories and monitor vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and families on health management disease prevention and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians nurse practitioners and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures as needed.
- Ensure a safe and clean clinical environment following infection control protocols.
- Provide Clinical Supervision to Patient Care Liaison.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio.
- Experience in primary care nursing preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
