- Benton County Health Services is currently seeking a Temporary Registered Dietitian / WIC Coordinator to join the team.
As a member of an interdisciplinary team and under the guidance of the Public Health Nurse Program Manager administer the Women Infants and Children (WIC) Program including planning reporting and ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations; provide nutrition assessments intervention and education to individuals and families including high-risk counseling; develop individual care plans based on nutritional assessments; issue food package benefits; plan and coordinate WIC specific education initiatives; breastfeeding promotion and support training and service evaluation; schedule organize and assign work to program staff; and conduct clinical and community level outreach.

Please note:- This is an on-call position not to exceed 1040 hours in a fiscal year.
Minimum Qualifications
The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:- Bachelors Degree in Dietetics Nutrition or a related health science field; AND
- 1 year of related health services experience;AND
- Registered Dietitian Licensure required.
Special Requirements:- Valid Oregon drivers license. Thisposition requires driving and may require use of a personal vehicle.
- Knowledge of WIC program administration.

- Effective communication skills both verbal and in writing.
- Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations and to effectively interact with adults infants and children in a professional manner.
- Ability to Interpret and communicate State and Federal rules regulations and procedures.

- Ability to participate in problem-solving.
- Ability to update and draft policy as necessary.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships based on trust with employees clients community partners and community.

- Bilingual Spanish English preferred.
