REGISTERED DIETICIAN- Glenaire
The Registered Dieticians role at Glenaire will assess nutritional needs diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans. They will also providenutritional counseling andeducation support to individuals and community groups as well as communicate withappropriate healthcareprovidersregardingdietary modifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advise residents and their families on nutritional principles dietary plans and diet modifications and food selection and preparation.
- Counsel individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition healthy eating habits and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of diet counseling services.
- Consult with physicians and health care personnel todeterminenutritional needs and diet restrictions ofpatientorclient.
- Plan conduct and evaluate dietary nutritional and epidemiological research.
- Plan and conduct training programs in dietetics nutrition and institutional management and administration for medical students health-carepersonneland thegeneral public.
- Make recommendationsregardingpublic policy such as nutrition labeling food fortification and nutrition standards.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:B.S. Degree in Dietetics or related field of study credentialed as aRegistered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)required.
Language Skills:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rulesoperatingand maintenance instructions and procedure manuals;towriteroutine reports and correspondence;to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
Mathematical Skills:Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry;to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations
Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization to interpret a variety of instructionsfurnishedin written oral diagram or schedule form.
Other Qualifications:Possessesnecessary skills to effectivelyoperatecomputer-based systems which manage patient-care records; knowledge of computational practices;ServSafe certified desirable.
