Job Summary
POSITIONSUMMARY: Provideseducationally related mental health services(ERMHS)tostudents with IEPs whodemonstrateemotional or behavioral issues which impede their ability tobenefitfrom education.
DUTIES:
Develop andmaintaina professional relationship with designated schoolpersonnelandwithcolleagues and staff.
ConductERMHSsummary review in conjunction with schoolpsychologistseligibility report.
Providegoals/objectives forstudentsIEP.
Updatestudents IEP goals/objectivesprogressevery quarter orasappropriate.
Maintain andmonitorstudentsservice minutes forappropriate levelof need.
Collaborate withIEPteam inIEPmeeting to addressneedto adjust minutes served as needed.
Provideprogress reports to school district andstudentsguardians.
Consult with school staff asappropriate regardingstudentstreatment issues.
Providebehaviorally focused and educationally relatedcounseling as written into the IEP forqualified students.
Providebehaviorally focusedcounselingsupportaspart of ED programming in an EDspecialized education classroom setting.
Provide behaviorally focused and educationally related individualgroupand family counseling to qualified students.
Development and facilitationof individual parent counseling and training when written into students IEP services.
Makeappropriate referralsto community agency/events.
Attend IEP meetings forqualified students.
Attendance at MCS collaborative meetings asrequired.
Attendanceatindividual and group supervision as assigned.
Completeall necessary chartingreportsand statistical information necessary for assignedstudentpopulation.
Maintain current paperwork forModesto City Schoolscharting and documentation of services.
Attendtrainings meetings and school events as needed orrequired.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
CompletedMasters degreeinCounseling/Psychology or Social Work.
Has current Associate or Licensed status with the Board of Behavioral Sciences
Ability to:
Develop andmaintainprofessional relationships with clients clientfamiliesand the professional community.
Assess and prioritize client issues anddetermineneeds.
Establish clear boundaries in a diplomatic manner with clients and school personnel.
Be open to feedback from clinical and administrative supervisors.
Knowledge of:
Theory principlestechniquesand trends in counseling and therapy.
Evidenced Based Practices
Community resources.
Pass agency paid criminal justice screening including fingerprints.
Pass agency paid TB (Tuberculosis)screening.
Pass agency paid health screening and/or drug testing.(if required)
Valid California drivers licenseand proof of auto insurance coverage preferred.
Pass agency paid MVR clearance with no more than 2 points - if you are under the age of 25 our insurance company will not allowanypoints.

Participates in and/or supports agency fund development activities and events.

Required Experience:
Senior IC
