Basic Job Functions

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within the organization; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.

The Regional Sales Manager will oversee the Central Texas region and will be responsible for account development with existing customers new customer growth market analysis strategic planning and implementation and other duties as assigned within the territory. The role is also expected to provide leadership participate in and promote an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver industry-leading service.
  • Engage in prospecting for new business.
  • Build relationships and rapport with customers.
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and operations teams.
  • Establish annual sales plans for the assigned region/market by working closely with Sales Management and District Sales Managers.
  • Provide proactive and positive problem-solving to help the team achieve and exceed revenue shipment and profitability goals.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in an unsupervised environment.
  • Proactively drive change within the organization and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a forward-facing representative with customers strategic accounts and large/high-profile projects.
  • Supervise and train new District Sales Managers while ensuring performance standards are met.
  • Provide leadership to achieve enterprise goals including market knowledge value-based selling and fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
  • Lead develop and coach members of the Pre-sale Team including District Sales Managers Inside Sales and Estimating teams.
  • Work with Estimating leadership to manage and balance estimating resources across the region in support of strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Inside Sales and Estimating teams to complete tasks effectively.
  • Participate in frequent joint meetings with other Regional Sales Managers and District Sales Managers to drive company-wide initiatives.

This position requires extensive travel and face-to-face customer interaction. Candidates must be able to travel frequently throughout their assigned region/market.



Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Proven history of sales or marketing experience within the steel industry.
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety quality employee development and profitability.
  • Experience in customer relations and resolving problems or disputes.
  • Basic knowledge of contracts standard business practices and human relations.
