Summary

Job Title: Regional Health Safety and Environmental Professional

Under the direction of the Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) Director the Regional HSE Professional provides hands-on regional HSE support across multiple active projects within an assigned geographic area. This is a field-forward boots-on-the-ground role that routinely walks job sites observes work in progress and engages crews and supervision to identify hazards and confirm controls are in place and effective. The Regional HSE Professional works with foremen superintendents and project leadership to mitigate hazardous conditions in real time reinforce safe work behaviors and help crews plan work safely and consistently.

In addition to active field support the Regional HSE Professional identifies patterns trends and recurring conditions across projects that may influence decision-making and behaviors and supports consistent risk-informed application of company HSE programs. The role partners with Site HSE Supervisors (when assigned) share regional learnings coordinate priorities and reinforce consistent program applications. The Regional HSE Professional collaborates with Project Managers Superintendents and Foremen to provide field-based coaching verification and escalation support related to health safety and environmental risk management; however this position does not direct day-to-day construction operations production sequencing scheduling staffing or means and methods.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position will report to the nearest branch office location and is a traveling role and requires regular and frequent travel including overnight stays to active projects within an assigned geographic region. Travel is necessary to observe work activities engage with project leadership and support regional HSE objectives. Travel frequency and regional coverage are determined based on operational needs and in coordination with the HSE Director. Upon approval from the HSE Director this position may be a hybrid role. Based on your location your branch office can be Cincinnati OH or Louisville KY.

The ability to write and present summaries business letters formal presentations and simple memos is required. The employee must be able to operate a computer manual and power hand tools a telephone a headset or headphones and a hand calculator. The employee is regularly required to commute by vehicle between the assigned site and other company or customer locations as needed.
