Compensation
  • Traveler Pay: $6570/hr ($2437 $2625 weekly) based on experience
  • Local Pay: $6063/hr ($2250 $2362 weekly) based on experience
Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Regional Director of Operations to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across multiple healthcare operational functions within the region. This role is responsible for overseeing Sterile Processing Transportation and Facilities operations while driving regulatory compliance operational efficiency leadership development and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong multi-site leadership experience operational strategy expertise and the ability to lead high-performing teams in complex healthcare environments.

Responsibilities
Regional Leadership & Strategy
  • Provide leadership oversight across regional operational functions including Sterile Processing Transportation and Facilities
  • Lead and develop site-level Directors Managers and Coordinators across multiple departments
  • Establish operational priorities performance goals and standardized procedures
  • Align regional operations with organizational strategy and growth initiatives
  • Promote operational integration and collaboration across departments and facilities
Operations & Compliance Oversight
  • Ensure compliance with AAMI CDC CMS DOT OSHA and accreditation standards across all regional sites
  • Oversee audit readiness inspections and regulatory compliance activities
  • Standardize workflows documentation practices and operational procedures
  • Monitor operational performance trends and proactively address risks or deficiencies
Leadership Development & Talent Management
  • Mentor and coach operational leaders across all functional areas
  • Build leadership pipelines and succession plans in partnership with Human Resources and Talent teams
  • Drive accountability performance management and leadership development initiatives
  • Support recruitment onboarding and retention of key operational leadership staff
Quality & Continuous Improvement
  • Oversee regional metrics related to quality turnaround times throughput and service reliability
  • Lead root-cause analyses and corrective action planning across departments
  • Identify implement and scale operational best practices
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and operational outcomes
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with clinical teams healthcare systems and operational stakeholders to ensure service excellence
  • Align operational services with customer expectations and contractual service levels
  • Collaborate with internal Operations Logistics and Facilities leadership teams to support system-wide initiatives
  • Represent regional operations in executive meetings strategic planning and growth discussions
Requirements
Education & Certifications
  • CRCST certification or equivalent sterile processing certification strongly preferred
Required Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of operational leadership experience required
  • Minimum 5 years of multi-site leadership experience required
  • Demonstrated success overseeing multiple operational functions including SPD logistics facilities or similar healthcare operations
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards and operational compliance requirements
Required Skills
