Position Overview:

As the Regional Director you will lead develop support and audit the multiple residential sites across the DakotaCountywithin the 24HR Community Residential Setting (CRS) program at Residential Transitions Inc. The CRS department serves participants with a diagnosis of a mental illness developmental disabilities and/or a brain injury. This role will work closely with program managers and executive team to ensure the department is delivering and implementing the highest level of care and support to the individuals served by each program. The Regional Director will analyze all levels of each site within the program to guarantee that Residential Transitions Inc is fulfilling its mission to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving the highest level of independence while on lifes journey.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with managers to guide and assist with the training development hiring and performance management of the staff at each residential site.
  • Serve as one of the Designated Coordinators for 245D licensing and will be responsible for programs under their direction to be compliant and accurate with licensing requirement timelines and documentation.
  • Managing and maintaining staff training requirements congruent with 245D licensing requirements.
  • Protect and be watchful for risk that could negatively impact the employees and individuals served by Residential Transitions Inc.
  • Responsible for decision-making processes related to selection and admission of new participants to RTIs CRS program.
  • Provides oversight over 24 HR Support Services including evaluation of participants in mental health crisis and implementing crisis intervention plans. Provides direction to Mental Health Workers on how to respond to verbal and/or physically aggressive behavior.
  • Ensuring compliance with 245D standards and RTI policies and procedures managing medication systems and maintaining site compliance.
  • Supervision of Program Managers Mental Health Workers and float staff.
  • Conducting monthly staff meetings for all staff.
  • Providing 1:1 direct client care and participates in on-call rotation as needed.
Required Qualification and Experience:

The Regional Director shall qualify under Minnesota law as follows:
  1. a baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services education or health and one year of full-time work experience providing direct care services topersonswith disabilities or personsaged65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults orchildren;OR
  2. an associate degree in a field related to human services education or health and two years of full-time work experience providing direct care services topersonswith disabilities orpersonsaged65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults orchildren;OR
  3. a diploma in a field related to human services education or health from an accreditedpostsecondaryinstitution and three years of full-time work experience providing direct care services topersonswith disabilities orpersonsaged65 and older or equivalent work experience providing care or education to vulnerable adults or children;OR
  4. a minimum of50 hoursof education and training related to human services and disabilities;AND four years of full-time work experience providing direct care services topersonswith disabilities orpersonsaged65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualificationsidentifiedin clauses (1) to (3).
Additional Required Skills:
  • Mustpossesstwo (2) years of managerial equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • Mustpass therequiredbackground check and remain eligibleto provide services as defined by the Minnesota Department of Human Services.

  • Must pass the screening required bythe FederalHuman Services Office of Inspector General toassurethat person has not been excluded from working in the licensed programs offered by RTI.

  • Must have access to a reliable vehicle andmaintaina validdrivers licenseandinsurance.

Preferred Qualification and Experience:
  • At least 1 year of proven experience in a director-level management position.

Compensation:$65000- $70000
Shifts:Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Type:Full-Time Exempt
Location:Office Setting in Mendota Heights MN travel to sites in the program throughout theDakota Countyrequired with mileage reimbursement provided.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
Employees in this role must be able to:
  • Walk stand sit bend climb stairs use a ladder and perform crisis prevention/intervention techniques
  • Use hands for writing typing data entry and medication dispensing
  • Lift up to 40 lbs. and occasionally exert physical effort during duties
  • Maintain vision and hearing necessary for reading charts operating office equipment using a computer and driving a vehicle
Work Environment
  • CRS homes operate 24/7 and require reliable consistent staffing.
  • This position may involve exposure to high-behavior situations physical aggression or mental health crises.
  • Training provided in crisis intervention medication administration positive supports EUMR and 245D compliance.
