Job Summary

Refrigerant Reclaim Technician (EPA 608 Certified Required)

We are seeking an EPA 608 Universal Certified Refrigerant Technician to join our Reclaim Team focused on the safe recovery and handling of refrigerants from commercial HVAC equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring environmental compliance and proper recycling of HVAC components.

You will be responsible for reclaiming refrigerants and dismantling HVAC units recovering valuable materials such as copper and aluminum and ensuring all processes meet EPA and industry regulations.

Requirements:

  • Must have a current EPA 608 Universal Certification
  • Able to pass a background and drug screen including THC
  • Able to work shift outside under a covered awning
  • Able to use hand tools
  • Able to lift 50lbs

LOCATION: Reno NV 89506
POSITION: Contract to Hire
HOURS: 6:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 6:00am to 10:00am
PAYRATE: $23.00 hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Recover refrigerants in compliance with EPA 608 regulations
  • Safely dismantle commercial HVAC equipment for recycling
  • Sort and process metals and other materials (copper aluminum etc.)
  • Identify and report issues with equipment during reclaim operations
  • Follow established procedures to ensure proper recovery and disposal
  • Maintain strict adherence to environmental and safety standards


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • EPA 608 Universal Certification
  • Previous manufacturing or construction experience.
  • Experience with HVAC systems and refrigerants.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work with dust/oil.
  • Able to use hand and power tools including metal cutting saws.
  • Works with a positive attitude and is a team player.
  • Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects.
  • Has an attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Able to handle and sort different materials.
