The Referral Coordinator (RC)is responsible forworking collaboratively with Northside Hospital Leadership to administer and coordinate allthe processing and coordination of patient referrals and is an avid participant of the patient care team. The RCis responsible forreferral operations at assigned clinicsestablishingand standardizing systems and procedures for the distribution and use of health information throughout the organizationcoordinatingand referral functions with all other departments. The RCwillbe in charge ofall aspects of Workers compensation referrals including scheduling extending referrals being the liaison withadjustersand gettingadditionaloffice visits approved for patients.

1. High School Degree or Equivalent
2. Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in business nursing or healthcare related field; OR
3. Bachelors Degree in a related field and a minimum of 1 year of leadership experience in business nursing or health care related field.
4. Demonstrated ability to set priorities coordinate diversified and multiple activities and make appropriate clinical and managerial decisions.
5. Possess advanced problem solving and team building skills.
6. Possess excellent communication and customer service skills.

PREFERRED:

1. Knowledge of JCAHO standards of care.
2. Knowledge of presentation preparation such as PowerPoint.
