Hourly Rate:$24.90 an hour.

Language Requirement: Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Work Schedule:Monday thru Friday 7:15a.m - 3:45p.m.

Academic Req: Required High school diploma; Preferred Associate degree

Certifications: First aid CPR Emergency behavior intervention

Work experience: Required Two (2) years of progressive employment experience in the behavioral
sciences human services or social services field

Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:
all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position.
and implement a monthly recreational activity calendar both at and away from the facility.
that needed recreational supplies and equipment are available for recreational activities.
recruit and maintain commitment from community partners.
volunteer participation including church group volunteers in recreational activities.
clear verbal directions and guidelines during recreational activities.
each childs progress in recreational activities in monthly and quarterly reports.
staff with supervision of the service population during recreational activities.
direct care staff during off-campus recreational outings.
appropriate and positive child management techniques including verbal redirection de-escalation and physical containment.
service population quarterly to determine level of satisfaction and ways to improve this service implements appropriate suggestions.
in scheduled meetings team decisions and operations.
in workshops seminars education programs and activities that promote professional growth and development.
evenings weekends and holidays as needed or requested by position supervisor.
Compass Connections safety protocols including evacuating with children and other staff in case of an emergency.
confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations.
Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in Compass Connections employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff the service population and community members and complying with required dress code at all times.

Other Responsibilities:
schedule and coordinate recreational opportunities for the service population.
a safe and orderly environment for the service while they are engaged in activities under the direction of this position.
traverse from one location to another.
all deadlines required by program supervisor and federal partners.

Requirements:
a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.
proof of work eligibility status upon request.
a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.
the ability to:
sensitively and competently to the service populations cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
collaboratively with other staff members service providers and professionals.
crisis intervention according to training provided by Compass Connections when needed to maintain a safe environment.
in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.
computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.
effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
