For more than 75 years UCP Long Island has been dedicated to advancing the independence productivity and full citizenship of individuals with cerebral palsy and other disabilities. We are proud of our mission of Creating Life Without Limits for People With Disabilities and were looking for a compassionate and creative Recreation Therapist to help us continue that work.

Design and lead engaging recreational activities and community outings
Promote health wellness socialization and community inclusion
Develop individualized recreation goals and treatment plans
Monitor progress and maintain documentation in compliance with regulations
Collaborate with residential staff and interdisciplinary teams
Train and support staff in implementing recreation programs
Help create enriching experiences that make a lasting impact

• Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university
• Valid NYS Drivers License and at least 1-yearlicensed driving experience
• Strong organizational communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for serving individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities
