Recovery Support Coach

• Provide individual and/or small group and peer support to students in the RSS program
• Assist students in the RSS program in identifying goals building a recovery plan and tracking progress
• Model hope resilience and a recovery-oriented mindset in all interactions with RSS students
• Support students in navigating systems accessing resources and advocating for their needs
• Connect students to both internal and external resources related to housing employment educational support wellness and other community services as needed
• Maintain accurate strength-based documentation that reflects the RSS students voice and goals
• Participate in RSS team meetings advisory board meetings and new student orientation upholding the unique peer role
• Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain CRSS competencies

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Credentialed as a Certified Recovery Support Specialist
• Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities
• Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends

• Associate degree
• Work experience in a success or academic coaching program
• Experience working with first-generation and other traditionally underrepresented student populations
