Requirements
- Manage the records of the Office of Classification and its suboffices to meet Department of Energy records management requirements
- Plan control direct organize train promote and other managerial activities involved with respect to records creation records maintenance and use and records disposition to achieve adequate and proper documentation of the policies and transactions of the Office of Classification
- Demonstrate proficiency in full life cycle records management file plan creation and maintenance applying records disposition schedules and e-mail management
- Develop office policies and procedures for managing records
- Create and maintain a filing system of classified and unclassified records
- Direct the transition from a paper-based system to an electronic document system within two (2) years of contract award that meets Department of Energy records management requirements
- Maintain filing systems that allow easy retrieval of records when needed
- Coordinate with IT staff to create electronic records systems that can be easily accessed by authorized personnel
- Digitize records with the appropriate software or technology
- Manage and keep up-to-date with the organizations essential records plan as part of the Agencys Continuity of Operations (COOP) plan Ensure Review Item Disposition System (RIDS) schedule meets Departmental records management requirements and is up-to-date and followed
- Supervise Records Management specialist
Requirements
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college in such fields as business administration public administration management or another closely related field; with a concentration in records management
- Possess strong writing and analytical skills and have the capability to work independently
- One (1) year of Federal records management experience.
- A detailed knowledge of the Federal records management program and associated orders and regulations including the Records Inventory and Destruction Schedule (RIDS)
The salary range for this position is $90000-$110000 annually.
