Receptionist / HR Clerk South Bend IN
Our client is seeking a Receptionist / HR Clerk to join their team in a full-time Monday through Friday position. This role is much more than answering phonesit serves as the face of the company while providing administrative and Human Resources support that helps keep daily operations running smoothly.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys staying busy learning new technology and taking initiative. The ideal candidate is professional personable highly organized and comfortable juggling a variety of administrative responsibilities while creating a welcoming experience for employees visitors and vendors.
Job Duties:
- Welcome and assist visitors vendors contractors and guests while maintaining a professional front office
- Answer and direct incoming calls using a multi-line phone system
- Maintain visitor logs calendars badges and front office documentation
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and assist with general office organization
- Order and maintain office supplies and coordinate service requests for office equipment
- Coordinate lunches and meeting preparations for visitors and company events
- Assist Human Resources with new hire packets onboarding documentation employee records and training support
- Prepare employee announcements birthday and anniversary communications and other internal company updates
- Maintain SharePoint records PowerPoint displays and various administrative documentation
- Support company events and assist with additional administrative projects as needed
This position is a great fit for someone with previous receptionist administrative assistant or customer service experience who enjoys variety in their day. The right person will be comfortable learning new systems taking ownership of responsibilities and working closely with both the Human Resources team and employees throughout the organization.
Requirements:
- Previous receptionist administrative or customer service experience preferred
- Experience answering a multi-line phone system
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Comfortable learning new technology and software systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational multitasking and problem-solving abilities
- Professional welcoming demeanor with excellent customer service skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
