DESCRIPTION:
As a Receptionist II at Thermo Fisher Scientific youll manage front desk operations playing a vital role in creating positive first impressions while supporting our mission of making the world healthier cleaner and this role youll manage front desk operations with professionalism and efficiency ensuring positive visitor experiences while maintaining building security protocols. Youll coordinate administrative support across departments handle communications and contribute to creating an organized environment that reflects our commitment to excellence.
REQUIREMENTS:
1 year of experience in a reception or administrative role
High School Diploma or GED required.
Professional certifications in office management or administration are a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional language skills are highly valued
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint)
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with exceptional attention to detail
Professional approach with focus on customer service
Experience with visitor management systems and security protocols
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Demonstrated skills in managing office supplies and inventory
Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently
Experience coordinating meetings events and travel arrangements
Ability to adapt to changing priorities
Ability to maintain workstation presence as needed
Knowledge of basic office equipment operation and troubleshooting
Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain professional composure
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $16.95$25.42.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
