Summary

Neurology Associates is seeking a friendly organized and customer-focused Receptionist to support the daily operations of our busy neurology practice. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors while providing administrative support to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and complete registration insurance verification and copay collection in Epic.
  • Answer incoming calls respond to voicemail messages and assist patients with appointment-related questions.
  • Make appointment reminder and rescheduling calls as needed.
  • Retrieve sort and distribute mail and faxes.
  • Coordinate the collection and scanning of outside medical records into Epic.
  • Process patient forms correspondence and documentation requests.
  • Route prescription refill requests and other patient inquiries to the appropriate clinical staff.
  • Assist with insurance authorizations for non-formulary medications as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and provide general administrative support to the practice.

Monday- Thursday: 8:30-5:00 p.m. Fridays: 8:30-12 p.m.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of medical receptionist or related healthcare office experience required.
  • Experience with Epic EMR strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication organizational and customer service skills.

Salary Range: Minimum 20.00/hour - Maximum 20.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
