Job Description
Join our team as a Receiving Clerk and play a key role in maintaining efficient warehouse this position youll receive and inspect incoming shipments verify deliveries for accuracy and damage enter receiving information into inventory systems and ensure products are distributed to the appropriate departments. Youll maintain accurate inventory records assist with asset tracking and inventory counts coordinate outgoing shipments and support surplus property management.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented organized and experienced in shipping and receiving processes with strong communication skills basic Microsoft Office proficiency and the ability to operate warehouse equipment as needed. A valid Florida drivers license and at least one year of related experience are required.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision handles incoming and outgoing packages. Performs quality assurance checks of received goods to inspect for defects and/or damages. Tracks inventory during product and supply chain life-cycle. Ensures product delivered and received directly to the Warehouse are entered in ERP system by Warehouse personnel and then delivered to the address and/or department on the purchase order. Assists in inventory counts fixed assets and disposal of surplus property. Reports delivery confirmations and locations to procurement staff.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receives and delivers incoming packages (25%)
  • Completes data input of received information on-line and assigns asset tags (15%)
  • Keeps accurate records inspects goods received for damage (15%)
  • Tracks inventory and distributes products to other departments (15%)
  • Keeps accurate records of warehouse inventory (10%)
  • Submits receiving reports to the Purchasing Department (5%)
  • Ships out freight requested by all departments (5%)
  • Tracks disposal items and surplus goods (5%)
  • Completes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. (5%)

QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Minimum one (1) year related experience
  • Knowledge of UPS and freight line shipping procedures
  • Detail oriented with the ability to perform tasks accurately
  • Ability to operate a forklift pallet-jack hoist and pick-up truck and trailer as needed
  • Valid Florida drivers license
  • Strong communications skills
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Suites

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position requires an ability to sit stand walk bend lift reach up stoop and carry items occasionally in excess of seventy-five (75) pounds. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines such as copier fax calculator telephone and other equipment as necessary. IRSC expects its employees to follow proper safety standards while employed by the College.
