We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Victor. This role will be based in Bethesda Maryland with flexibility for other U.S. locations. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Victor Insurance Managers Inc. a subsidiary of Marsh is the worlds oldest and largest underwriting manager of specialty insurance professional liability and risk management programs. Victor is seeking a professional to join its growing Real Estate E&O team where the ideal candidate is self-motivated thrives in a fast-paced environment and values strong relationships with colleagues and clients. This established team of eight colleagues underwrites and services a high-volume portfolio for the real estate industry including agents brokers property managers commercial firms appraisers title agents and more.

We will count on you to:

• Profitably manage an existing portfolio of renewal business and underwrite new opportunities daily.

• Evaluate clients exposure to loss based on established program eligibility.

• Utilize underwriting platform to generate pricing and communicate terms to Victor brokers.

• Negotiate final terms and position the Victor value proposition to brokers.

• Engage with our carrier partner to develop bespoke coverages and determine pricing for complex risks.

• Work with both in-house and outsourced support teams to service portfolio.

• On a limited basis attend industry trade shows and/or travel to meet with broker partners (2-3 trips annually)

What you need to have:

• Bachelors degree and 5 years of underwriting experience or transferable work experience.

• Strong analytical aptitude and critical thinking demonstrated through work assignments.

• P&C license required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

• Proficiency in Excel Word PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.

Marsh is committed to hybrid work which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one anchor day per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $65300 to $139000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience skills training location certifications education and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case addition to the base salary this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
