Location: Columbia South Carolina. This is a full-time on-site position based in the firms Northeast Columbia office.

Note: Candidates must have at least 1 year of residential real estate closing experience. An Associates degree or Paralegal Certificate is required and candidates should be comfortable managing multiple transactions deadlines closing documents and communications simultaneously.

• Manage residential real estate transactions from opening through closing and post-closing.
• Prepare review and finalize settlement statements closing disclosures deeds affidavits loan documents and related closing materials.
• Review title commitments surveys title policies and transaction requirements.
• Coordinate with lenders real estate agents title companies attorneys and clients to keep transactions moving efficiently.
• Schedule closings and confirm that documentation funding and all parties are ready.
• Conduct or assist attorneys with in-person and remote residential closings.
• Coordinate receipt disbursement and documentation of closing funds in accordance with firm and regulatory requirements.
• Record closing documents and confirm successful recording.
• Assemble and distribute final closing packages to clients and lenders.
• Maintain accurate transaction files closing checklists and documentation.
• Provide timely status updates to attorneys clients and other transaction participants.
• Manage multiple active closings and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Qualifications

• 1 year of residential real estate closing experience required.
• Associates degree or Paralegal Certificate required.
• Bachelors degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of residential real estate transactions.
• Familiarity with title insurance escrow procedures lender requirements and closing documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple closings and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong written verbal and client-service communication skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• SoftPro experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of South Carolina residential real estate and recording requirements preferred.
• Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
