Location

This is a full-time in-office position based in Westlake Village CA offering the opportunity to work closely with an experienced legal team in a professional boutique firm environment.

Note

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in California and have 3 years of directly relevant real estate law experience including strong drafting negotiation and client-facing skills.

Job Description

  • Review draft and negotiate real estate contracts leases management services agreements operating agreements and partnership agreements.
  • Counsel escrow companies title companies real estate professionals developers lenders and property owners on practical legal and business issues.
  • Advise clients on governance regulatory licensing and limited tax-related matters.
  • Represent clients in state regulatory compliance and licensing matters.
  • Draft real estate documents for residential and commercial transactions.
  • Help clients identify mitigate and manage legal and business risk.
  • Communicate directly with clients and keep matters moving efficiently.
  • Collaborate with experienced attorneys and legal staff in a professional client-focused environment.
  • Support business development efforts as desired though a book of business is not required.

Qualifications

  • California Bar license required.
  • 3 years of relevant real estate law experience.
  • Strong experience drafting and negotiating real estate agreements and related transactional documents.
  • Excellent written verbal negotiation and client communication skills.
  • Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating with a team.
  • Strong attention to detail organization and professional judgment.
  • Comfortable working full-time in-office in Westlake Village CA.
  • Business-minded client-focused and interested in long-term professional growth.
