    We are seeking a highly motivated student-centered educator to serve as a Reading Teacher at Mountain View Middle School. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong literacy instructional practices the ability to build positive relationships with middle school learners and a commitment to collaboration within a team-based environment.

    A valid and active Pennsylvania Reading Specialist Certificate (Kï½12) is required. Previous experience working with upper elementary or middle school students in reading intervention literacy instruction or MTSS support is preferred. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of adolescent literacy development data informed decision making reading intervention strategies and the academic social and emotional needs of middle school students.

    The successful candidate will:

    • Deliver targeted literacy instruction and intervention based on student data
    • Develop and implement flexible instructional groups to meet diverse learner needs
    • Collaborate with classroom teachers counselors interventionists and support staff
    • Utilize assessment data to monitor progress and inform instructional decisions
    • Support students in developing foundational reading comprehension vocabulary and writing skills
    • Create a positive structured and engaging learning environment
    • Communicate effectively with students families and staff

    We are seeking educators with experience or training in:

    • Differentiated instruction
    • Data-driven instruction and progress monitoring
    • MTSS/intervention frameworks
    • Collaborative and student-centered learning practices
    • Inclusion and support for diverse learners
    • Literacy assessment and intervention strategies
    • Educational technology and instructional tools
    • Process writing and integrated literacy instruction

    The ideal candidate values relationship-building consistency and high expectations while helping students grow into confident capable learners. Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a grade-level and intervention team is essential.

    Required Clearances Upon Hire:

    • PA Criminal Record Check (within 1 year)
    • PA Child Abuse Clearance (within 1 year)
    • FBI Fingerprint Clearance (within 1 year)
    • TB Test (within 3 months)
    • Physical (if applicable within 1 year)
