Raytheons Effector Analog & Power (EAP) Department is looking for junior to mid-level engineers who have power electronics knowledge to help design robust power systems.

The EAP Department is responsible for the development from concept to integration of Telemetry and Flight Termination products; power systems from all up round to the lowest level power regulation; servo electronics supporting all mechanical motion in our products and low noise mixed signal electronics that provides the analog to digital interface to our front-end sensors. Each of these productsgenerally operatein lower power and voltage ranges less than 10kW and 1000V.

What You Will Do:

• Design analyze simulate test and document power conversion (and related analog) circuitry. This circuitry will dominantly involve non-isolated and isolated switch mode power converters and linear converters. Main emphasis is on board-mounted power end use applications.

• Help to see circuit card development through its design phases from requirements definition throughinitialintegration testing.

• Test andvalidatecircuit card designs by developing test procedures performing data capture and analyzing results to confirm adherence to project requirements.

• Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing activities with moderate support from senior engineers.Assistin layerstackupdefinition.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a bachelors degree in science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)and yearof prior relevant experience OR an advanced STEM degree.

• Design analysis test and/or simulation experience with one or more of the following non-isolated converter topologies: buck boost buck-boost.

• Experience using tools such as MATLABMathCAD Mathematica or other similar tools.

• Experience with analog electronics design including at least one of the following: FETs/BJTs op-amp high/low/band pass filters clock/data termination and comparator circuits.

• The ability to obtain andmaintaina US security clearance is. U.S. citizenship isas only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering

• Experience communicating and documenting technical topics at the small team level.

• Experience in any one of the following:

• Familiarity with wide bandgap devices (SiCGaN) in power electronics designs.

• Simulators such as SIMPLIS or SABER or Mentor GraphicsDxDesigner and/orHyperlynx.

• Acting as a liaison between program and functional management in a cross-matrixed organization.

• Military specifications.

• Design considerations for voltages > 400V and/or power > 10kW. Three-phase power systems power factor control and inverter/rectifier development.

• Program management tools such as Earned Value.

• Proposal development.

  The salary range for this role is 57200 USD - 108800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
