Qualifications:

Full current and unrestricted state license to practice Radiologic Technology (any U.S. state territory or the District of Columbia). Any current or past restricted suspended revoked or voluntarily surrendered license disqualifies a candidate.

ARRT certification in general radiologic technology (R) at minimum.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience on the advanced modality being proposed or the minimum number of cases for that procedure type.

Ability to speak understand read and write English fluently.

Must clear pre-assessment/on-site clinical skills evaluation and VA NJHCS Professional Standards Board Medical Executive Board and Medical Center Director credentialing/privileging approval before providing any services.

New hires receive a two-week facility familiarization (protocols SOPs equipment) only - contractor techs are not trained by VA staff and must arrive fully proficient.

Shifts:

8:00 AM - 4:30 PM EST 8-hr shift with unpaid 30-min break Monday-Friday

Day shift / full-time; occasional pre-approved overtime at Chief DRTs discretion; staff may be scheduled on federal holidays

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certificate from ARRDMS (abdomen OB/GYN and/or breast depending on services provided).

Experience with abdomen/retroperitoneum small parts gynecology male pelvis obstetrics vascular imaging breast sonography and breast biopsies.
