Job Summary

Job Title: Radiology Technologist X-Ray
Location: Neptune NJ
Shift & Schedule: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM 5x8 or 4x10 Shifts Every Other Weekend Holidays Required No On-Call No Float

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Radiology Technologist X-Ray for an exciting Travel or Local job in Neptune NJ.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-quality diagnostic radiographic images by properly positioning patients and selecting appropriate technical factors
  • Operate radiographic equipment and imaging systems based on procedure requirements
  • Utilize immobilization devices to ensure accurate imaging and patient safety
  • Perform portable X-ray examinations in patient rooms operating rooms and emergency departments
  • Restrict radiation exposure using proper shielding collimation and radiation safety techniques
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures ensuring comfort safety and cooperation
  • Assist patients with mobility transfers and positioning on imaging tables as needed
  • Accurately identify and label imaging studies with patient information and technical markers
  • Develop and process radiographic images using appropriate systems and protocols
  • Review image quality and repeat or adjust as necessary to meet diagnostic standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation of completed studies requisitions and imaging records
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the radiology work area
  • Assist with scheduling patient instructions and administrative support as required
  • Prepare contrast media and assist physicians during imaging procedures when needed
  • Ensure proper handling filing and storage of imaging records
  • Follow all hospital policies safety standards and infection control procedures
  • Provide care tailored to patient needs including age cultural developmental and physical considerations
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families
  • Ensure safe patient handling during transfers positioning and mobility assistance
  • Uphold organizational standards for patient-centered care and service excellence

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required
  • Completion of clinical and ARRT requirements required
  • Valid New Jersey State Radiologic Technologist License required
  • ARRT Certification required or eligibility to obtain National Registry certification
  • Minimum 2 years of radiology/X-ray technologist experience preferred
  • Proficiency in radiographic equipment operation patient positioning techniques radiation safety protocols and digital imaging systems
  • Strong communication adaptability and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in high-pressure clinical environments with compassion and professionalism
