The Radiologic Technologist plays a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care services by performing diagnostic imaging procedures in a fast-paced ambulatory care environment. Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic x-ray exams as ordered by providers using proper exposure techniques (MA KV time and distance).
  • Explain imaging procedures clearly to patients and families to ensure comfort and understanding.
  • Apply radiation protection practices in accordance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Maintain sterile technique and prevent cross-contamination.
  • Conduct regular quality control checks on radiologic and darkroom equipment to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Complete and maintain appropriate imaging records and referral logs.
  • Ensure all x-ray films and images are stored tracked and reviewed in a timely manner.
Qualifications

Registered as a Radiology Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) prior to hire
Current Iowa permit to practice radiologic technology.
Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred
Familiarity with EPIC a plus!
For positions within UnityPoint Clinic team members may be required to work at or to float to other locations to support optimized staffing
