Position Highlights
Provide PRN coverage based on department needs (weekday/weekend call coverage).
JOB SUMMARY
The Radiology Technologist supports department coverage by performing diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with established standards and protocols.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Performs diagnostic X-ray procedures according to establish protocols.
- Ensure quality imaging and patient safety.
- Prepare and position patients appropriately for exams.
- Follow radiation safety and infection control standards.
- Keeps the work area clean and orderly.
- Document procedures accurately in EHR/PACS
- Handles the necessary paperwork filing and other office procedures in accordance with department policies.
- Collaborate with providers and staff to support patient care.
- Keeps current with the latest trends in technology and radiological procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information and professional appearance and conduct.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None.
EDUCATION
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION
Licensed by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists or current enrollment in an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Must be eligible for ARRT certification. CT certification and/or experience preferred.
ADDITIONAL EXPECTATIONS
- Maintain competency through continuing education.
- Support department workflow and coverage needs.
- Provide patient-centered care in a team environment.
