Job Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist in Radiology/Cardiology is responsible for performing high-risk OB/GYN and general ultrasound procedures in an outpatient maternal fetal medicine clinic. This role requires a confident and experienced solo sonographer to conduct detailed fetal abdominal and OB/GYN imaging manage daily case loads and utilize specialized equipment including GE units and EPIC software. Strong clinical knowledge and leadership experience are essential to ensure accurate diagnostics and patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform ultrasound scans including adult high-risk OB obstetrics fetal anatomical surveys and abdominal imaging.
  • Conduct fetal measurements such as abdominal circumference bone lengths cerebellum ventricles and others.
  • Carry out OB/GYN procedures for 1st to 3rd trimester pregnancies including amniotic fluid index multiple pregnancies and placenta previa assessments.
  • Manage daily case load of 8-10 ultrasound scans independently in a single-room setting.
  • Utilize EPIC and Viewpoint systems for documentation and patient data management.
  • Maintain professional communication and coordination within the maternal fetal medicine clinic.
  • Adhere to clinic policies including no return-to-office (RTO) after booking and no call or float requirements.
Required Skills & Certifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience; first-time travelers not accepted.
  • Certified in BLS ARDMS and ARDMS-OB/GYN.
  • Proficient in adult high-risk OB obstetrics fetal and abdominal ultrasound skills.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
  • Strong leadership and management experience in sonography.
  • Ability to confidently work as a solo sonographer.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
  • RDMS-AB certification.
  • Experience with portable ultrasound units and general ultrasound procedures.
  • Experience performing amniocentesis and UA Doppler procedures.
  • Experience in outpatient clinical settings.
  • Advanced OB/GYN skills including fetal echo inter/intra-orbital measurements nuchal translucency screening and umbilical cord Doppler.
  • Additional certifications such as ARDMS-AB ARDMS-FE and NT-Nuchal Translucency.
Special Considerations:
  • No call float or weekend requirements.
  • Return to office (RTO) after booking is strictly prohibited and cannot be worked onsite.
  • Must be able to operate independently as a solo sonographer.
  • Clinic environment focused on high-risk OB/GYN residency cases.
  • Scrubs are not provided; royal blue attire required.
Scheduling:
  • Work schedule is Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday from 07:00 to 17:30.
  • Shift consists of four 10-hour day shifts per week.
  • 40 hours per week offered with no weekend or on-call shifts.
