Radiology Cardiology Nuclear Medicine Tech

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) / PET Technologist provides specialized imaging services primarily in PET with potential rotation to Nuclear Medicine as needed. This role involves performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures ensuring patient safety and collaborating with clinical teams. Candidates must have at least 6 months of PET experience and hold required certifications. Strong technical skills and the ability to work varied start times and shifts are expected.

• Perform PET and Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures according to protocols.
• Operate imaging equipment including Siemens systems ensuring quality and safety standards.
• Prepare patients for imaging studies including explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver accurate diagnostic results.
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting using EPIC electronic medical records.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations and weekend shifts as required.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.

• Certification as ARRT(N) or NMTCB with a valid California license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 6 months PET experience; 1 year nuclear medicine experience accepted.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records preferred.
• Ability to work varied start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM.
• Valid drivers license and ability to work within a 50-mile radius.

• Experience with Siemens imaging equipment.
• PET certification (not required but advantageous).
• Experience working in acute care or magnet-designated hospital settings.

• Call requirement post-shift and rotating weekends; some travelers may be exempt depending on experience.
• Shift schedules include 4x10 hour shifts or 5x8 hour shifts based on preference.
• Requests for scheduling due to outside employment will not be considered.
• All return-to-office (RTO) needs must be submitted at application time.

• Varied start times from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM.
• Work schedule options include either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts per week.
• Weekend coverage may exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs.
