About the Role:

  • Diagnostic Radiologist
  • Location: Columbus NE (1.5hrs to Omaha)
  • Hospital Employed - This is an On Site Position
  • The groups workflow is optimized with McKesson/Change Healthcare PACS PowerScribe One dictation and integrated third-party artificial intelligence solutions.
  • Mixed caseload; emergency room inpatient and outpatient studies
  • Computed tomography magnetic resonance imagining ultrasound fluoroscopy and nuclear medicine
  • Role open to an upcoming retirement
  • Every third week off- we have night services to cover nights
  • EMR: Paragon
  • Team of 3 other Radiologists
  • 3-week rotation schedule
  • First week: At hospital 6am - 6pm M-F. And 8am - 6pm Sat and Sun. This week is considered your on call week.
  • Second week: Radiologist oversees outside studies from clinics that are sent in to be read. And covering satellite clinics 15mins from hospital
  • Third week: Completely Off Work!
  • Night Hawk Service covers 6pm - 6am on Weekdays and 6pm - 8am on weekends
  • State-of-the art equipment to serve the Columbus area. This equipment includes two CT scanners; five ultrasound machines
  • Capabilities for nuclear medicine bone densitometry X-ray fluoroscopy 3D mammography wide-bore MRI
  • PET scans which is available on a mobile basis but will be on-site when the New Cancer Center opens in October
  • The department performs around 45000 tests each year.


Candidate Background:

  • Board Certified / Board Eligible Radiology
  • Ability to obtain an Nebraska State Medical License
