Job Summary

Position Overview
Ensures that the evaluation of Radiology procedures equipment and staff are administered in a fashion that is accurate timely responsive and reliable. Customers served include UHS employees Medical Staff patients and regulatory agencies. Priority will be given to activities that directly affect customer service.

Compensation Range:

$26.13 - $40.53 per hour depending on experience

Sign-on Incentive:

Candidates may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $10000.

36 hours/week FT Night Rotation (12 hour shifts)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drives the commitment for exceptional patient experience

  • Performs routine diagnostic imaging procedures including portable fluoroscopic and operating room exams as requested by referring physicians

  • Completes and documents all required imaging and procedural information accurately on requisitions

  • Communicates effectively with referring physicians radiologists ancillary departments and patients to ensure coordinated high-quality care

  • Adheres to radiation safety protocols and ensures compliance with ALARA (As Low as Reasonably Achievable) principles

  • Demonstrates proficiency in using UHS information systems for imaging workflow and patient documentation

  • Provides clear patient education related to imaging procedures ensuring patient understanding and comfort

  • Maintains accurate and thorough documentation to support high standards of patient care and regulatory compliance

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

  • Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology

Preferred:

  • Not Applicable


License/Certification

Minimum Required:

  • New York State License as Radiologic Technologist
  • ARRT Registration

Preferred:

  • CPR certification within the first three months of hire.
