- Rotational weekends and holidays required

A healthcare facility in Syracuse New York is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist CT for a night shift contract assignment. The technologist will perform high-quality radiographic and CT imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety comfort and compliance with departmental protocols and radiation safety standards.
- Perform radiographic and CT examinations under the direction of radiologists
- Prepare position and educate patients regarding imaging procedures
- Set appropriate exposure factors to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Follow radiation safety and protection standards to minimize patient exposure
- Operate imaging equipment efficiently and report equipment malfunctions as needed
- Process imaging studies and maintain accurate documentation within the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Adhere to departmental procedures protocols and safety standards
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to support patient care needs
- Ensure proper handling and use of imaging equipment at all times
- Associate degree (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required
- Active New York State license/registration required
- Minimum 1 year of CT/MRI experience as a Radiologic Technologist required
- Current knowledge of radiographic imaging procedures and equipment required
- Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance required
- Strong understanding of CT imaging protocols and radiation safety practices
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work independently during night shifts in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively document imaging procedures and patient information
