Join the Advanced Products & Solutions (APS) Mission Area within the Systems Engineering Center where we design and develop advanced radar and early-warning sensor systems that support the military around the world. We are seeking Radar Systems Engineers who thrive in a fast-paced environment enjoy solving complex technical problems and are eager to support innovative sensor and radar programs.

You will work alongside experienced engineers to define system architecture develop requirements perform analysis and modeling and support integration testing and flight activities across the full product lifecycle. This role is onsite in El Segundo California.

What You Will Do

• Contribute to all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle including trade studies development of CONOPS system architecture requirements definition and allocation traceability integration verification and qualification.
• Support development analysis documentation and verification of system requirements using DOORS
• Radar mode algorithm development and system performance assessments.
• Conduct modeling simulation and data analysis using MATLAB Python and C
• Perform daily tasks in a classified and controlled lab environment
• Participate in hardware/software integration troubleshooting and hands-on laboratory testing
• Support verification validation flight test production and post-deployment activities
• Perform trade studies functional/physical analyses and MBSE-based system design
• Prepare and present technical reports findings and briefings to internal and external stakeholders
• Travel up to 10%

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a Bachelor degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline (preferably Electrical Engineering Aerospace Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science Mechanical Engineering Applied Mathematics Physics) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience in Systems Engineering with radar algorithm design requirements development software/hardware integration data analysis using Matlab and configuration management
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Advanced degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline (preferably Electrical Engineering Aerospace Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science Mechanical Engineering Applied Mathematics Physics)
• Radar fundamentals.
• Programming experience in Python and MATLAB
• Experience troubleshooting electronic and/or system-level issues signal processing control theory statistics information theory and detection methods Imaging/pattern recognition Data filtering (Kalman batch optimal estimation)

  The salary range for this role is 75800 USD - 144200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
