Develops policies procedures and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products materials components and/or operations Develops assures and maintains the quality of products and processes including standard procedures (e.g. ISO 9001:2000 ISO 14000 family of standards) quality audits/review Taguchi methods process reengineering etc. Responsibilities are within the Quality Assurance Methods Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for execution and maintenance of the Quality Environmental Health and Safety Integrated Management System at the Fort Scott KS Manufacturing Facility. The primary responsibilities of this role are to provide direction and leadership to manufacture consistent high-quality cleaning products to ensure customer satisfaction and to update and maintain the Environmental Health and Safety Programs. The QEHS Manager is a key member of the Leadership Team at the Fort Scott Manufacturing Facility. This position reports to the Plant Manager.

Safety Health & Environmental (SHE) Leadership

• Leads a strong safety culture; model compliance with plant EHS policies chemical handling procedures PPE LOTO and emergency response protocols.
• Ensures adherence to OSHA and applicable environmental regulations (e.g. EPA RCRA SPCC) and plant standards (e.g. SDS use spill response waste segregation emissions logs).
• Conducts safety talks behaviorbased observations nearmiss and incident reporting and corrective action followthrough.
• Verifies safe operation of equipment (reactors mixers pumps tanks filling lines conveyors) and safe line changeovers/cleanouts.

Primary Position Responsibilities:

• Leadership for the Integrated Quality Environmental Health and Safety Management System.
• Maintain ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications through diligent management and continuous audits of these programs.
• Develop and administer site Training Program.
• Partner with the Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance to develop and implement all aspects of current and future QA processes.
• Develop and execute site internal audit schedule.
• Demonstrate compliance within EH&S regulatory programs
• Deliver plant Quality KPIs through SOP adherence training and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical leadership for the Manufacturing Team by championing Root Cause Analysis for Safety Incidents and Quality Excursions.
• Use data to evaluate factors and resolve problems of both a diverse and complex scope.
• Ensure the Manufacturing Team is properly trained in all ISO requirements and provide guidance to meet the requirements and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure the Quality Team is properly trained in all ISO requirements laboratory techniques safety programs and regulatory and environmental procedures.
• Define performance expectations and assign projects for Quality Lab Team to achieve Plant and individual goals. Lead and manage others effectively.
• SAP Project and Program Champion for Quality and Manufacturing
• Responsible for management of departmental budget. Work with Operations Manager to plan and achieve department budgetary goals.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or related field
• At least 3 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment; chemical processing strongly preferred
• At least 3-5 years of people leadership (lead coordinator or supervisor)
• Proficient with SOPs batch records Microsoft Office and production systems (e.g. ERP/MES).
• Strong technical understanding of chemical reactions viscosities temperature control and raw material behavior
• Strong knowledge of safe chemical handling PPE and LOTO; ability to read P&IDs SDS and technical instructions.
