Quality Technician

Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsible for performing in-process and receiving inspections based upon engineering drawings; shop routing and specifications or information. Collect and enter data for capability studies and Gage R&R studies. Assist manufacturing operations in basic inspection methods; manufacturing procedures; quality procedures and work instructions. Ensure conformance to Quality Standard QMS ISO 9001 6S SQDCI and all QUA process : (included but not limited to)Receiving activities in ERP systemMove transactions in ERP systemEnter information into Quality DatabaseReceiving inspection activities Inspection DatabaseComplete ISIR FAIR or 1st piece inspection processUpdate inspection control plans in Quality DatabaseIssue NCMRs:QP 8301 Nonconforming Material NCMR DatabaseQUA containment area(s) being organized and accurate (INSP QANET QARI RTV QCNCM etc.)Calibration procedure:QP 7601 Control of monitoring and measuring GagePACKPerform Internal calibration activities:Golden Eggs Custom Gages Testers Analyze & Disposition RMAs Engineering and QUA Tech A. supervised as neededQP 7206 Returned Material Authorization (RMA) RMA DatabaseGenerate ECN Requests: ECN DatabaseQP 7302 Engineering Change Notification (Change Control).docUpdate and Control Documents: Document Control DatabaseQP 4202 Document CoordinatorIssue CARs: Corrective Action DatabaseQP 8502 Corrective Action-Preventative Action Communicate with Suppliers on NCMRs CARs Communicate with Customers on RMAs CARs Responsibilities:Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. Other duties as requested directed or assigned. Some heavy lifting required up to 70 lbs. Qualifications: Ability to read and understand documents such as a basic knowledge of and the ability to recognize GD&T callouts on prints. Ability to read and write to use the following gages:Optical Comparator Spring Force Tester Gage Balls Concentricity Gages Thread Micrometer Bore Gages Caliper Micrometer Thread Gages Indicators Gage Pins Height-stand/Drop Indicator use of MS Word MS Excel MS outlook MS Access and MS Excel. Ability to collect data for capability studies and Gage R&R a minimum of 2 years experience in a Quality environmentNot required but strongly recommended:Can enter and generate capability and gage R&R charts in CMM program created by CMM Operator****Job descriptions may include Qualifications and Responsibilities that require SMP Trombetta specific training. Reaching above shoulder heights below the waist or lifting as required to gather necessary or store materials throughout the workday. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
