Position Overview:
You will lead and support cross-functional teams across quality engineering manufacturing and operations to ensure products meet internal and external quality and safety this role you will manage quality processes personnel and continuous improvement efforts within a manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in resolving production quality issues and ensuring alignment with standards across internal teams and external partners. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact product quality operational performance and new product readiness within a complex manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support cross-functional teams in troubleshooting root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues affecting production.

  • Coordinate and oversee quality control activities including assigning and scheduling work for technicians and inspectors to meet project deadlines and specifications.

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards across internal manufacturing processes and external suppliers.

  • Support new product development activities including production start-ups tooling validation and vendor certification processes.

  • Develop implement and maintain inspection criteria for critical product features and quality standards.

  • Analyze production processes and performance recommending specification or process improvements where needed.

  • Assist in developing and refining quality control policies procedures and best practices.

  • Evaluate quality performance metrics and implement process or objective adjustments to improve outcomes.

  • Deliver training mentoring and development for quality technicians to build capability and consistency.

  • Manage quality-related activities within approved budget parameters.

  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and support a clean organized and efficient work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Science Engineering Operations or related field required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality process engineering or a related field.

  • Experience working in automotive or similar assembly manufacturing environments preferred.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality tools and methodologies including PFMEA control plans root cause corrective action and quality management systems.

  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings GD&T and conducting product or process failure analysis.

  • Proven ability to lead or supervise hourly employees in a manufacturing setting.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment with a significant shop floor presence.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% as required for business needs.
