Seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead all aspects of the Quality Management System while serving as the primary quality representative to customers around the world. This is a highly visible leadership position responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction leading continuous improvement initiatives maintaining ISO quality systems and driving manufacturing excellence.
This role goes well beyond managing quality systems. The Quality Manager will serve as the face of the organization for customer quality matters working with demanding global transportation and industrial customers while partnering internally with Production Engineering Maintenance and Supply Chain to improve quality performance reduce scrap improve yields and strengthen operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Lead and improve the Quality Management System
Maintain ISO compliance
Lead customer and certification audits
Serve as the primary quality contact for customers
Drive customer satisfaction initiatives
Lead corrective actions and root cause investigations
Reduce scrap and improve manufacturing yields
Analyze quality KPIs and implement improvements
Improve supplier quality
Supervise Quality personnel
Support APQP PPAP and new product launches
Promote Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement
Partner with Engineering and Production to improve processes
Maintain quality documentation and records
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
5 years of progressive Quality Management experience within manufacturing
Experience managing ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
Experience leading customer audits and certification audits
Strong knowledge of root cause analysis (8D 5 Why Fishbone PFMEA)
Experience with SPC MSA APQP PPAP Control Plans and Lean Manufacturing
Strong leadership and project management skills
Excellent customer communication skills
Experience supervising Quality Technicians and Inspectors
Bachelors degree in Engineering Manufacturing Quality or related technical discipline preferred
ITAR environment and must be US Citizen
Preferred Requirements
Automotive manufacturing aerospace or similar regulated manufacturing environment
IATF 16949 experience
ASQ CQE or CMQ/OE Certification
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
ISO Lead Auditor Certification
Experience working directly with demanding OEM or international customers
Required Skills:
Qualifications Bachelors degree in Engineering Manufacturing Operations Management Business or a related discipline preferred. Significant manufacturing leadership experience with progressive responsibility including experience leading an entire manufacturing facility. Demonstrated success improving operational performance productivity quality and profitability. Strong leadership coaching and team-building skills. Experience managing budgets financial performance and capital projects. Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to lead change and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
