We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and advance the quality program for an established and growing manufacturer serving the defense and aerospace markets.

This position will have ownership of the companys quality management system and will be responsible for maintaining AS9100 and ISO 9001 registrations supporting regulatory and customer requirements driving corrective actions and continuous improvement and ensuring products consistently meet engineering and customer specifications.

The Quality Manager will work closely with engineering production suppliers customers and executive leadership while leading and developing the quality team.

• Own and maintain the companys certified Quality Management System (QMS)
• Support continued compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001
• Coordinate registrar certification surveillance and recertification audits
• Manage the internal audit program and quality documentation
• Lead management reviews and quality improvement initiatives
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
• Investigate internal and customer-reported quality issues
• Track quality metrics identify trends and develop improvement plans
• Manage nonconforming material customer complaints and product returns
• Support new product introduction design reviews validation and qualification activities
• Evaluate manufacturing inspection and testing processes for compliance and effectiveness
• Partner with engineering and operations to improve process capability and product quality
• Identify and reduce quality risks involving products processes and suppliers
• Supervise mentor train and develop quality personnel
• Establish departmental objectives and performance expectations
• Report quality performance audit results and improvement activities to executive leadership
• Serve as a primary quality contact for customers suppliers registrars and regulatory representatives

• 5 years of progressive quality experience within a manufacturing environment
• 2 years of supervisory or quality leadership experience
• Hands-on experience managing a certified Quality Management System
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality system requirements
• Experience with root cause analysis CAPA SPC and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes inspection methods and quality assurance principles
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings specifications and customer requirements
• Strong analytical organizational communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office

• Experience within aerospace defense or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with AS9100
• AS9100 or ISO internal auditor or lead auditor credentials
• Bachelors degree in engineering quality manufacturing or another related technical discipline
