Quality Manager

As part of our Manufacturing team youll help build the world-class state-of-the-art smart vehicles were known our plants around the world were constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency.

In this position...

You will champion the Quality Operating System (QOS).

What youll do...

• Member of the Plant Operating Committee and responsible for keeping OCM informed of status on Quality issues.
• Develop and mentor plant personnel on the QOS coach and train on the appropriate use of standard Quality Tools
• Champion and Deliver the plant Policy Deployment Process for Quality.
• Champion the daily weekly monthly quarterly Quality cadence for the plant (Daily Quality Reviews PIC VRT PQRs SAR reviews)
• Manage department direct and indirect manning
• Single point of contact for customers
• Coordinate and co-chair monthly Local Joint Quality Meetings
• Drive to implementation of corrective actions to resolve quality issues using 8D tool 6 panel etc.
• Resolve quality issues using 6-sigma tools
• Manage stability of the base QOS
• Identify sources of variation within the production environment effectively and efficiently
• Knowledge of and ability to execute measurement systems analysis & variable data analysis
• Determine inspection equipment and facility requirements
• Oversee the layout of parts as required
• Champion the Incoming Quality activity
• Provide feedback concerns to appropriate departments identified by dealers and customers related to quality
• Pass through management for Warranty and Ford Plant Concerns
• Review internal/external suppliers for critical characteristics process compatibility
• Review incoming quality concerns; must have experience with initiating containment determining root cause and implementing corrective actions
• Coordinate real time supplier quality concern feedback to production departments
• Provide IQ support to contain suspect component concerns until certified stock arrives
• Oversee the review of supplier 8Ds and the acceptance or rejection based on content
• Provide updates on suppliers to Purchasing STA and plant management
• Manage the reimbursement of plant expenses due to supplier quality concerns
• Plant lead for Quality in all New Model Launch activities

Youll have...

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
• Strong statistical background
• Language skills as required by the job
• Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate Servant Leadership behaviors combined with outstanding Ford OS behaviors of Excellence

Even better you may have...

• Quality engineering background preferred
• Engineering degree preferred
• Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of the Ford Production System/Quality Operating System
• Working Knowledge of the following systems:
  • Data Cubes/Common Metrics
  • AWS
  • BSAQ
  • ECB
  • GQRS
  • QLS
