Job Summary
QUALITY MANAGER (Permanent)
Our client an established and growing manufacturing company located in WNY is looking to hire a Quality Manager to join their team. This position reports to the Engineering Manager and will oversee 2 Quality Control this role you will be responsible for driving quality to a new level implementing and improving quality systems and leading the organization in quality control.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a fresh perspective on the importance of quality
- Develop programs policies processes systems and workflows to support and improve Quality initiatives & strengthen the inspection process of all product lines
- Directly manage coach and mentor 2 quality control technicians
- Guide the overall organization on upholding high quality standards explaining the importance to all team members
- Consult with cross-functional teams to implement quality standards
- Work with Engineering Operations Customer Service and technical support to always improve customer experience
- Investigate customer quality issues for root cause and set in motion preventative action plans; APQP
- PFMEA and FMEA; audit work instructions processes and procedures to identify potential risks to quality
- Review and train on visual aesthetics of raw materials in-process and final product
- Manage internal quality audits
- Collect analyze and report quality metrics to track quality productivity cost of quality Voice of Customer and quality development plans
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full time direct hire
- Position is 100% in-office standard 1st shift hours
- $100000 - $135000 annually depending on experience monthly bonus eligibility & annual profit sharing

- 5-10 years Quality Management experience
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Bachelors degree required (engineering or technical discipline preferred)
- Six Sigma Certified Green or Black Belt preferred
- ASME / ASQC Certification preferred
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent analysis skills
- Self-motivated
