The Vocational segment includes market leading brands McNeilus Oshkosh S-Series IMT Pierce MAXIMETAL Oshkosh Airport Products and Frontline Communications. Our purpose-built products serve our communities with carefully designed and engineered refuse trucks front-discharge mixer trucks fire apparatus Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting trucks service vehicles and command trucks. SUMMARY
The Quality Intern job includes overall process and product quality responsibility. This may include our supplier base test manufacturing sales floor control test exercising pre-ship deprocessing customer fielding and service/warranty. Everyone is responsible for the level of quality exceeding customer expectations of the product. Quality interns work with Quality department staff while exhibiting a professional and cooperative attitude.
YOUR IMPACT

Maintain a positive professional working relationship with all customers.
Responsible for supporting Quality Department Staff.
Review and update quality documentation.
Actively participate in group and team meetings.
Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to correct and prevent quality issues.
Assist in problem solving and implementing solutions to quality related problems.
Assist staff with the disposition of defective material.
Participate in quality audits internally and externally.
Assist in supplier quality and process control.
Report and respond to quality process nonconformance issues in an expedient manner.
Work inter-functionally with Quality and Manufacturing to resolve quality related issues.
Must exhibit the ability to proactively complete assigned tasks.
Travel as required.
Must be willing to complete additional advanced training/educational courses as required.
Accurately maintain company records and documents in accordance with policies and procedures
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Student working toward a Bachelors degree in Quality Engineering Operations Management/Business Administration or a related field for entire duration of internship.
Willing to travel or relocate to Murfreesboro TN for the Summer of 2026 (relocation assistance provided for those with a permanent address of greater than 50 miles from Murfreesboro TN)
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
GPA of 3.0 or greater
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Pay Range:
$18.00 - $37.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range individual pay is determined by various factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role the candidates experience education and skills as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
