We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join the team at our Norridge IL location. Are you looking for a great place to work with an amazing culture and opportunities to advance within your position AND make more money Then keep reading!The Norridge location of NSI is a progressive manufacturer of die castings that has been in business for 60 years and we look forward to having you join our team!Please note this is a full-time 1st shift position (7am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday).

General Summary
Accountable for making sure that the overall part quality meets customer specification.
Responsibilities

Inspect assigned material per Control Plan
Identify non-conforming material
Complete all in-process inspection records
Approve in-process production by confirming specifications conducting visual and measurement tests and communicating required adjustments
Accept/reject production material
Stop production when non-conformity has been detected
Provide quality instructions to operators
Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into database
Complete First-piece Set-up Inspection Report
Follow up on repair tags
Prepare various quality documents
Report quality concerns
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Basic understanding of blueprints
Basic math skills
Proficiency in reading and writing
Proficient use of measuring/inspection equipment i.e. micrometers calipers indicators etc.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
Ability to lift up to 50lbs. regularly have adequate manual dexterity be able to walk and stand for continuous hours on concrete floors and work at a computer station

Salary Range: $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
