PAY RANGE: $25-30/hour SHIFT: 1st Mon Fri 8a 5pm
SEE WHAT WE DO: SUMMARY
Prototek is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector II to support our manufacturing operations by performing in-process final and first article inspections on precision components. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently interpret complex drawings and help drive quality standards throughout production.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform in-process and final inspections on manufactured parts
- Complete First Article Inspections (FAIs) and customer certification requirements
- Inspect parts using calipers micrometers height gages CMMs and other inspection equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints engineering drawings and GD&T requirements
- Verify compliance with customer specifications and quality standards
- Support AS9100 ISO9001 and quality system requirements
- Mentor and train less experienced inspectors
- Partner with production teams to resolve quality concerns
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or GED required
- 5 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Manufacturing machine shop aerospace medical device sheet metal or additive manufacturing experience
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
- Experience with CMMs and precision measurement equipment
- Knowledge of AS9100 ISO9001 or ISO13485 quality systems
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple projects
