Job Summary
This position is responsible for in-process and final visual inspection of parts. This position works on the production floor collecting samples and performing visual inspections. This is a highly responsible position requiring attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal amounts of supervision. This position requires the use and understanding of special quality inspection tools and equipment. ResponsibilitiesCollects samples at scheduled intervals from each machine. Perform the necessary visual Quality testing procedures on tools gauges and other inspection equipment for simple measurements to obtain product specification record information consistent with the department with Machine Technicians Operators and Production Supervisors in an effort to run a consistent quality all departmental procedures with respect to routine daily assignments. All workstation areas will be maintained in a neat and orderly non-conforming product on hold and create non-conforming quality inspections on rework to read and write in EnglishExperience with ANSI Sampling PlansKnowledge of measurement instrumentation (Caliper Micrometer Ruler Gage Blocks etc.)Experience with automated and manual inspection equipment is a plus (CMM OGP etc.)Experience with material analysis is a plus (i.e. FTIR Melt Flow Testing etc.)Experience with ISO 13485 processes is a plusAbility to read prints is a plusKnowledge of Microsoft word and excelEducation Guidelines0-2 years Experience Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent in certificationPhysical RequirementsLight Work Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and / or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and / or lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects. If the use of arm and / or leg controls requires exertion of force greater than sedentary work and worker sits most of the time the job is light AcuityThe worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as; preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects small parts and or operation or machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distance close to the eyes.
