Quality Enhancement Coordinator

JOB SUMMARYUnder the direction of the Associate Director for Clinical Quality this position is responsible for conducting incident investigations and program surveys to ensure regulatory compliance safety and personcentered practices. The role includes investigating incidents reviewing programs and services identifying risks and areas for improvement and providing clear timely reports and recommendations. This position works closely with agency staff leadership and external entities to support quality improvement protect the wellbeing of people supported and associates and uphold agency standards regulations and valuesJOB FUNCTIONS:Regulatory Conduct investigations related to the Incident Management processMaintain a working knowledge of regulatory requirements and agency procedure regarding support and guidance to agency associates in the issues of incident the investigatory scope of incidents and conduct a thorough investigation within the required timeframes for the applicable committee appropriate priorities when multiple investigations are being confidentiality is maintained for agency associates and people we support in relation to all investigations. This includes personnel records; people we support records; verbal and written interviews as necessary which may involve travel to various agency locations and to the private homes of people we recommendations for corrective actions based on thorough analysis of the facts and information obtained through a thorough written investigation report within the required timeframe for review by the Associate Director for Clinical Quality or Director of Quality Enhancement and Program Surveys Maintain a working knowledge of regulatory requirements for programs and evacuation drills as assigned to ensure evacuation plans are followed and knowledge of regulatory requirements to identify any issues of imminent danger and ensure immediate course of corrective action is taken by department leadership. Complete a full review of programs using the most current protocols and guidance from regulatory oversight each program and/or service with a comprehensive assessment of strengths and areas of communication to the Director for Quality Enhancement/Associate Director for Clinical Quality and department director of any identified non-compliance with regulations laws and/or seek up-to-date information and materials regarding regulatory with and Director of Facilities to complete physical plant inspections at the program Centered ServicesObserve associates providing services and evaluate their performance based on OPWDD and person-centered philosophy and working knowledge of agency person centered initiatives and person-centered philosophy and standards into the investigation and program survey all documentation and service plans utilizing person-centered standards to identify strengths and areas of comprehensive analysis of identified strengths and areas of implementation and effectiveness of behavior support plans and provide feedback to the Behavior Intervention a working knowledge of regulatory requirements for Person-Centered Behavioral StandardAssist with research and provide information on regulatory and person-centered requirements as requested by agency programs or and/or provide data as requested by department or agency routine communication with the Associate Director of Clinical Quality to ensure awareness of current activities and job comprehensive professionally written reports on job activities as Plant and Safety Ensure any safety concerns and hazards observed are reported immediately to ensure the welfare of all people served and survey activity by Office of Fire Prevention and Control (OFPC) to incorporate trends into survey communication of identified physical plant and safety updates from oversight recommendations and guidance on safety concerns and issues identified in investigations or with OthersAct as a representative of the agency with people receiving services families funding and regulatory entities industry associations and the interact with department associates during job trainings as assigned including Quality topics (incident reporting) SCIP ManagementAssist with recruitment and hiring as requested for department in the evaluation of department positions to identify inefficiencies and areas of FunctionsParticipate in agency initiatives and committees as assigned/ regularly with the Associate Director of Quality Enhancement to inform consult and coordinate current activities and job as committee chair back up for the Director and Associate Director of Clinical Quality as SKILLS AND ABILITIES:This position requires active knowledge of agency operations investigative techniques and ethical business position requires you to have basic knowledge of agency processes policies and position requires you to have excellent written and verbal communication position requires you to have basic knowledge of computer operations (i.e. databases spreadsheets word processing and e-mail).This position requires you to develop clear understandable reports related to job position requires you to work independently as well as in a team and organize duties according to required position requires you to be able to manage multiple and competing demands and prioritize :High school diploma General Education Development (GED) or Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC).Three-years experience working with people with developmental disabilities Alignment with agencys mission vision and code of respectfulness professionalism effective teamwork and empathy such as active Aid/AED instruction and SCIP Certification within the first six months of hireObtain and maintain CQL Personal Outcome Measure Certification as an QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:Where position requires driving:Valid drivers license for the state in which the person safe driving position requires driving individuals served by the Agency:Motor vehicle with up-to-date inspection that is registered and be required to enroll in LENS (Licensed Event Notification System).AUTHORITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY:People: This position does not have any direct supervision of associates. This position does interact on a regular basis with all other departments of the agency. This position is accountable to the Associate Director of Clinical Quality. Operations: This position has responsibility for regulatory personal allowance and incident management compliance. Budget: This position has responsibility to adhere to budgetary expense guidelines and programs.
