As a Quality Engineer supporting Mail u0026 Calendar Services you will ensure the reliability and correctness of two critical infrastructure systems: Apple Corporate Mail and Corporate Calendar Server implementations. Youll design validation strategies build sophisticated testing tools and provide the final sign-off that gives confidence to deploy changes affecting thousands of corporate users.

Design and implement comprehensive test scenarios for mail features and enhancements including migration workflows and CI/CD integrationnBuild and maintain Python-based testing tools for test data generation migration validation mailbox inspection and automated cleanup operationsnDevelop black-box validation approaches that verify migration correctness through IMAP protocol verification without relying on internal implementation detailsnValidate CalDAV protocol operations (PROPFIND REPORT PUT DELETE MKCALENDAR) and iCalendar event handling across single recurring and all-day event typesnTest complex calendar scenarios including recurrence rules (RRULE) timezone handling with DST transitions recurring event splits and detached instancesnBuild and maintain Java/TestNG-based test suites with data-driven testing BDD specifications (Gauge) and comprehensive API validationnInvestigate and triage failures across both systems working with development teams to reproduce issues analyze root causes and validate fixesnCollaborate with engineering teams document test methodologies and findings and maintain high code quality standards across all testing tools

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or equivalent practical experiencen5 years of experience in quality engineering test automation or software testing rolesnDemonstrated deep expertise in email systems (IMAP SMTP mail migration) OR calendar systems (CalDAV iCalendar scheduling infrastructure) with strong analytical skills to learn the complementary domainnProficiency in Python OR Java with experience building test automation frameworks and working with APIsnExperience establishing data integrity verification procedures including message counts content checksums metadata preservation and structural validationnDemonstrated ability to write and maintain automated test plans suitable for CI/CD integration across server development and deployment workflows

Experience in BOTH email and calendar domains (ideal but not requiredwe value depth in one with ability to learn the other)nBackground in enterprise email administration IMAP/SMTP server operations or CalDAV server implementationsnProficiency in both Python and Java testing ecosystems (TestNG Gauge BDD frameworks)nExperience with large-scale data migration projects (u003e10000 users or u003e1TB data) or high-availability calendar servicesnDeep knowledge of RFC specifications: RFC 5545 (iCalendar) RFC 4791 (CalDAV) RFC 5322 (email format) RFC 3501 (IMAP)nExperience with complex temporal logic (recurrence rules timezone handling DST transitions) or complex state machines (attendee workflows event lifecycles)nFamiliarity with Apple ecosystem technologies (iCloud iOS/macOS frameworks)nExperience testing distributed systems service-oriented architectures or protocol-level implementationsnTrack record of building reusable test tools and frameworks adopted by other teamsnContributions to open-source testing email-related or calendar-related projectsnExperience with ical4j library or similar iCalendar manipulation frameworksn
