How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Quality Engineer Summer Intern 2027 you will support quality activities documentation internal audits and corrective action efforts while working with a cross-functional team to prepare policies processes and procedures for the revised ISO 9001:2026 standard.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)
While each day brings new opportunities at SPX your core responsibilities will be:

1. Quality Systems and Documentation
   Provide support for the development and implementation of quality activities and procedures to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001:2026 standard.
   Develop revise apply and maintain quality procedures quality plans and related documents.
   Support coordination of revisions to policies processes and procedures to meet the requirements of the revised ISO 9001 standard.
2. Cross-Functional Quality Projects
   Work with a cross-functional team to support quality system updates related to the revised ISO 9001 standard.
   Collaborate with personnel at Brentwood Cuba and Monroe City.
   Assist with ISO internal quality audits.
3. Root Cause and Corrective Action Support
   Assist teams with root cause analysis and development of corrective actions.
   Support corrective action activities related to internal and external quality issues.

What we are looking for (Experience Knowledge Skills Abilities Education)

Required Experience
No prior experience required.

Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Effective human relations skills including good listening ability and the capability to work well with others to implement change.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Attention to detail.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs.

Education & Certifications
Actively pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Quality Engineering or a related field.
No certifications required.

Travel & Working Environment
Hybrid role based in Brentwood with collaboration with personnel at Brentwood Cuba and Monroe City.
Occasional or seldom travel may be required; less than 10%.
