Job Summary
QUALITY ENGINEER (Permanent)
Our client a global manufacturing organization with headquarters in WNY is looking to add a Quality Engineer to their growing team. This role reports directly to the Quality Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Perform cross-functional responsibilities to improve production engineering and materials outcomes from a Quality standpoint
- Spearhead regulatory compliance functions including audits report preparation responding to inquiries/issues and database management/maintenance
- Advocate for continuous improvements and develop & implement processes and procedures towards quality safety regulatory FMEAs control plans etc.
- Prepare/Present documentation and reports to maintain Quality and Environmental Management Systems (ISO9001/ISO14001) and contribute to registration audits
- Review SOPs training documents and work instructions to identify areas for improvement
- Review engineering plans specifications and design inspection protocols to ensure appropriate Quality plans are implemented
- Develop Corrective Action plans by performing root cause analysis creating short-term action plans and implementing long-term corrective action plans
- Clearly communicate quality issues as they relate to various internal teams (Customer Service Engineering Logistics Production etc.) across all company sites
- Ensure Quality issues are being communicated to customers and suppliers in a timely manner
- Analyze inspection and test processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure timely implementation
- Evaluate new components and products as necessaryboth purchased and sold
- Regularly monitor Quality metrics to ensure goals/objectives are on track to be met/exceeded
- Work well both independently and in a team environment
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full-time direct hire
- 100% in-office
- $75000 - $95000 annually depending on experience

- Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering or related
- 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems
- Experience with ERP systems
- Knowledge of pumps HVAC heat exchangers pressure vessels is preferred
- Proficient computer skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organization skills and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Able to lift 20-30 lbs
- Relocation not available
