Quality Engineer

QUALITY ENGINEER (Permanent)
Our client a global manufacturing organization with headquarters in WNY is looking to add a Quality Engineer to their growing team. This role reports directly to the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cross-functional responsibilities to improve production engineering and materials outcomes from a Quality standpoint
  
• Spearhead regulatory compliance functions including audits report preparation responding to inquiries/issues and database management/maintenance
  
• Advocate for continuous improvements and develop & implement processes and procedures towards quality safety regulatory FMEAs control plans etc.
  
• Prepare/Present documentation and reports to maintain Quality and Environmental Management Systems (ISO9001/ISO14001) and contribute to registration audits
  
• Review SOPs training documents and work instructions to identify areas for improvement
  
• Review engineering plans specifications and design inspection protocols to ensure appropriate Quality plans are implemented
  
• Develop Corrective Action plans by performing root cause analysis creating short-term action plans and implementing long-term corrective action plans
  
• Clearly communicate quality issues as they relate to various internal teams (Customer Service Engineering Logistics Production etc.) across all company sites
  
• Ensure Quality issues are being communicated to customers and suppliers in a timely manner
  
• Analyze inspection and test processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure timely implementation
  
• Evaluate new components and products as necessaryboth purchased and sold
  
• Regularly monitor Quality metrics to ensure goals/objectives are on track to be met/exceeded
  
• Work well both independently and in a team environment
  
• Other duties as assigned/as necessary
  

Details:

• Position is full-time direct hire
  
• 100% in-office
  
• $75000 - $95000 annually depending on experience

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering or related
  
• 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems
  
• Experience with ERP systems
  
• Knowledge of pumps HVAC heat exchangers pressure vessels is preferred
  
• Proficient computer skills
  
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
  
• Strong organization skills and time management skills
  
• Strong attention to detail
  
• Self-motivated
  
• Able to lift 20-30 lbs
