Shift & Schedule: 8-Hour Shifts 40 Hours/Week 5 Days/Week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Quality Control Technician for an exciting Travel or Local job in Elmhurst IL.
Responsibilities
- Follow ANSI/AAMI standards manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFUs) SOPs and company work instructions
- Decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment using proper PPE and established protocols
- Disassemble clean inspect and reassemble complex surgical instruments
- Accurately assemble and package surgical instrument trays and sets
- Operate washers sterilizers autoclaves and other sterile processing equipment
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness functionality and damage prior to sterilization and packaging
- Document missing damaged or non-compliant instruments according to company procedures
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles instrument tracking and inventory levels
- Monitor and replenish instrument and supply inventories as needed
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of sterilization equipment
- Maintain clean organized and compliant workstations and processing areas
- Adhere to infection prevention safety and quality assurance standards
- Collaborate with operations and sterile processing teams to support workflow efficiency
- Participate in ongoing training and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Sterile Processing Certification (CRCST CIS or equivalent) required
- Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required
- Strong knowledge of decontamination assembly and sterilization procedures
- Familiarity with ANSI/AAMI standards and manufacturer IFUs
- Experience operating washer disinfectors autoclaves and sterilization equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and SOPs
- Basic computer and electronic data entry proficiency
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience preferred
- Experience working in sterile processing departments surgical centers or healthcare facilities preferred
- Advanced knowledge of surgical instruments and instrument tracking systems preferred
